A day in Singapore's Peranakan Museum!

Aper kabar kalian kalian dan kaki kaki saya!

So I went to S'pore's Peranakan Museum today! :D Sugguh excited gua bagi tau lu!

wooo! The entrance! I was kinda hard to find the museum but oh well! Tetap dapat cari!

Okay! So yeah, when I went into the entrance kan, I saw this dance. Okay, I dont really get it because I was kinda messy? Maybe because I came in the last minute. But whaaaarrrtever! I think it's from Indon?

Okay, so this is where Nyonyas and Bibiks keep their accesories. Alahai, pompuan suka cantik kan? Most of them used their bared hands and made this beautiful thing! Well, a hardwork is always the best desert.

Well, they used to wear sarongs with a belt. Kan nanti takut jatuh habis tu semua orang tengok! I think this actually costs RM3000. It's REAL GOLD OKAY! kai wan xiao.

This kebaya nice right! So cina feel. HOHOHO.

So, this is actually Jawi Peranakans, different than Chinese Peranakans, but culture, SAMA JE LAHH.

So this is like erm, Indian-peranakans. :D 

AND THIS. my friend, is chinese peranakan! wooots!

Can you imagine how much hard work is this?

THE WEDDING!!

There's always two guys infront holding up lanterns, usually Malay? I dont really know bout that. 

After that, following by the bride and groom, and their so called kids groom and bride, 

and their family.

Okay, so Peranakans are very in to ceremonies especially to their ancestors.

 This is a ancestral hall. Love the two words on the wall. "Zhui Yuan"

It simply means, to remember, to know about your past and ancestors.

And that's why! I'm here today!

Peranakans are not mostly muslims, they are Taoist and Buddhist too! Mostly are! 

and it's also said, since Peranakans are so so so close with british, they even convert to Christians!

Okay, so this are now all kebayas and sarongs!

 This is a baju panjang, usually wore by the bibiks. Tapi zaman sekarang, bibik jugak pakai baju kebaya! Hahaha.

You know, it's interesting and fun to actually know your own pasts. Well for me lah, but I dont know bout you all. Hahaha.
